Who are the voices of the UglyDolls?

The kid-animated film UglyDolls is available to stream on Netflix, and tons of people are watching it. In fact, it’s the No. 2 movie on the streamer’s top 10 list of kids’ movies as of May 22. It’s the perfect film to watch with kids on family movie night, so we strongly recommend checking it out. But before you start watching it, we must share the voice cast list with you.

UglyDolls is a kids’ comedy movie helmed by Kelly Asbury from a screenplay written by Alison Peck and a story by Robert Rodriguez. Additionally, it’s based on the plush toys of the same name by David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim.

While on a quest to find a kid to love in the “Big World,” Moxy and a group of her UglyDoll friends arrive at The Institute Of Perfection, a town where Perfect Dolls receive rigorous training before entering the real world. While there, the UglyDolls confront what it means to be different and realize they’re worthy of love despite their unconventional looks.

The voice cast is made up of a bunch of well-known singers, actors, and rappers. Find out who voices the colorful characters right below!

Grammy Award-winning singer Kelly Clarkson voices the protagonist of the film, Moxy, an UglyDoll who dreams of one day being loved by a child. Some of her best songs are “Since U Been Gone,” “Behind These Hazel Eyes,” “Because of You,” and “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You).” She also voiced a character in the kids film Trolls World Tour.

Grammy nominee Janelle Monáe voices Mandy, a caring perfect doll with eyesight problems who befriends the UglyDolls. Janelle is also known for her roles in the movies Moonlight, Hidden Figures, Harriet, Antebellum and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. You might also recognize her from her role in the psychological thriller series Homecoming.
