Are any of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies on Netflix in 2022?

The Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise is one of the most famous horror franchises in history and gave birth to the classic slasher Freddy Kreuger, who is among one of the most iconic horror villains.

While horror fans can watch scary movies all year, we all feel a little more inclined to indulge in spooky content when Halloween rolls around. With so many Nightmare on Elm Street movies out there, it’s hard to keep track of where all of them are streaming and when.

Sadly, none of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies are streaming on Netflix. The original 1984 film was on Netflix earlier this year but has since left the service. If you’re a big fan of the series though, I highly recommend watching the latest season of Stranger Things, which has a lot of Elm Street references.

Other Netflix offerings that might appeal to you include It: Chapter One, Fear Street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. There is also an episode about A Nightmare on Elm Street in Netflix’s The Movies That Made Us series.

Even though you can’t watch Freddy Kreuger terrorize teenagers on Netflix, the majority of the movies in the franchise are available to stream elsewhere.
