Warwick Davis' children speak out as five words spark concern about wife's death
Warwick Davis’ children have released a new statement after the movie star announced his wife had died last week.
The Harry Potter actor announced the tragic news his wife Samantha had died last week, confirmed she passed away on March 24, 2024. The 54-year-old concerned fans with how he signed off the devastating message on Sunday to his 663,000 followers. Warwick Davis’ children have now released another statement.

Fans of the celebrity were concerned as he signed off the heartbreaking news with: “I’m done here, signing off,” with a broken heart emoji.
They were worried about the actor, who was grieving over the death of his childhood sweetheart.
Warwick Davis’ children, Annabelle and Harrison, have now assured fans their father is fine, but taking a break from social media.
They said in a statement: “Thank you everyone for looking out for our dad, he is taking some time away from social media.
“He apologizes if his last message caused anyone concern. We appreciate all your love and support, Annabelle and Harrison”.
The family have launched a JustGiving fundraiser, called Sammy’s Helping Hands to raise money for Little People UK. Warwick Davis’ children asked fans to send any donations they wish, or funds for flowers, to the charity instead.
They said: “Our mum, the kindest, most inspirational and loving mumma we could have wished for, devastatingly passed away on March 24.
“While it’s a very difficult time for us, we’re humbled by everyone who has reached out to offer support & to express how Sammy impacted their lives. Dad wanted us to share the project that we have all started for Mum. Through her work with Little People UK, Sammy was passionate about helping younger members of the dwarfism community, in particular those of school age.

‘I miss her hugs’
Last week, the movie star announced his wife had died, after the celebrity couple had been together since they were teenagers.
They had met on the set of Willow, by George Lucas, and Warwick shot to fame aged 17 after starring as Ewok Wicket in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. After three years, they tied the knot in 1991, before Warwick and Samantha Davis welcomed their two children together.
When confirming the sad news, Warwick said: “Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs.
“She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humor and always laughed at my bad jokes.”
