Who's in the voice cast of the movie?

On April 1, Netflix released the kid-animated film Shark Tale, and people are either watching it for the first time or re-watching it for nostalgic reasons. While watching the movie, you might recognize some of the characters’ voices since they’re very distinctive, but others you may not. So if you want to know which actors voice characters in Shark Tale, we’ve got you covered.

Shark Tale is a 2004 computer-animated comedy film helmed by Vicky Jenson, Bibo Bergeron, and Rob Letterman from a screenplay co-written by Letterman and Michael J. Wilson. Additionally, it was produced by DreamWorks Animation.

The movie follows an underachieving fish named Oscar, who after telling a tiny white lie about killing the son of a shark mob boss, rises to fame and is hailed as the “Sharkslayer” in his community. But Oscar quickly finds himself in deep trouble after his lie catches up to him, and the shark mob boss sends his minions to hunt him down.

Be prepared to be surprised at who’s in the Shark Tale voice cast. The cast includes many award-winning actors, such as Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, Renée Zellweger, and Angelina Jolie.

Academy Award-winning actor Will Smith voices Oscar, the protagonist of the film. He’s best known for his previous roles in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Independence Day, Men in Black, I Am Legend, the Bad Boys film series and many other projects.

Robert De Niro voices Don Lino, the shark mob boss after Oscar. You might’ve watched De Niro in the movies Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Cape Fear, Meet the Fockers, Limitless, The Family, Joy, Joker, The Irishman and Amsterdam.

Renée Zellweger voices Angie, an angelfish who has a secret crush on Oscar. She’s known for her roles in the films Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation, Jerry Maguire, One True Thing, Nurse Betty, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Chicago, Cold Mountain and Judy. She also starred in the short-lived Netflix original series What/If.

Jack Black voices Lenny, Lino’s youngest son who befriends Oscar and Angie. Black is best known for his roles in the films High Fidelity, Shallow Hal, Orange County, School of Rock, King Kong, the Jumanji film franchise and the Kung Fu Panda film series.

Angelina Jolie voices Lola, the alluring female lionfish that Oscar takes a romantic interest in. Jolie is known for her roles in the movies Gia, Hell’s Kitchen, Girl, Interrupted, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Wanted, Salt, The Tourist, the Maleficent film series and Eternals.
