Samantha Ronson’s family seeks restraining order against Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are officially over, with Lindsay announcing that they’re “taking a brief break so I can focus on myself,” and outlets reporting that Samantha’s family staged an intervention to help her break off the dysfunctional relationship for good. Ronson was seen changing the locks on her home this weekend after Lohan was banned from a party held for Sam’s designer twin sister, Charlotte, where Sam was DJing.

Both US Weekly and OK! Magazine are reporting that Ronson’s family went to the Beverly Hills Police Department to find out how they could get a restraining order against Lohan. Ronson’s mom Ann and her sister Charlotte were seen at the station on Monday evening. OK! Magazine has some juicy details said to be from an insider about why they’re seeking a restraining order. It hasn’t been issued yet and they’ll have to go to the court to officially request one. Lindsay supposedly pulled some scary stalker-ish actions over the weekend, including following Sam’s brother, Mark, and booking a hotel room right underneath the family at the Chateau Marmot and making fake complaints to staff about them.

Around 5 p.m. PST on Monday, Sam’s mother, Ann Dexter-Jones, and sister, fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, were at the Beverly Hills Police Department to look into filing a restraining order because Sam wants to “send a message” to Lindsay.

Charlotte and Ann talked to a clerk at the front desk, who advised them, “The restraining order is the best option. If she violates it, then she gets taken away.”

The Ronsons spoke openly to the officer about their situation. “She does these things to get attention,” said Charlotte of Lohan’s recent actions. “She was trying to get into my party this weekend. We had to tell security to keep her out. Then she booked a room at the Chateau Marmont. Her room was right below… She also followed our brother Mark around.”

“[Lindsay] was doing drugs,” added Ann. “And we could not sleep that night at the Chateau. She was complaining about the music and noise coming from upstairs. She was trying to get attention, so that Sam could come down.”

“She cuts herself too,” Ann continued. “She is a cutter!”

“She got up illegally to our room,” Charlotte told the policeman. “She does these acts of public humiliation. It is all for attention… She was also got physical with Mark.”

Charlotte continued to speak to the policeman on duty while Ann took a phone call and explained the situation to the person on the other line.



”[Lindsay] is furious because we did an intervention,” she said. “Not about the drugs, but because of this situation… It is what it is.”



“[Lindsay] is publicly humiliating [Sam],” explained Charlotte. “She is trying to send out a message.”

The Beverly Hills station can’t issue restraining orders because there are no judges in the building. So the officer instructed the Ronsons to file a petition for a restraining order at the courthouse in Santa Monica.

It can be amusing to watch Lohan’s downward spiral, but this seems like it’s enough for her and I really hope she gets her crap together before it’s too late. Even though their relationship was incredibly troubled to say the least, Sam really seemed like she was holding Lohan together. The girl is spending money like crazy and losing cash and sanity rapidly. She needs some help if she’s going to avoid both bankruptcy and personal ruin. It seemed like Lindsay was doing well with Sam and that she sabotaged their relationship with bad behavior and constant fighting, but it’s hard to tell what goes on behind closed doors. Someone needs to help this girl, but she’s pretty much decided how the course her life will go and until she stops using drugs and decides to change no one will be able to turn it around for her.
