NSYNC star's dogs were sent to jail after celebrity neighbor called the police

NSYNC singer Lance Bass was a dog dad to beloved pups Dingo and Foster, but he once had to retrieve them from jail after they escaped his home.

NSYNC’s Lance Bass shares two dogs with husband Micahel Turchin called Chip and Dale, but before they joined the family, the celebrity couple were first parents to two pups called Dingo and Foster. Don’t let their cute faces fool anybody – the furry friends spent some time behind bars.

Talking to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner on his podcast, Frosted Tips, Lance recalled the time he was forced to leave a club after receiving an unusual call from Beverly Hills police. Bass wasn’t the one in trouble – it was his dogs.

Lance, 44, previously lived next to Victoria and David Beckham and didn’t know there was a hole in his garden gate. “They [Dingo and Foster] escaped and I was at a club and I get a call, like, ‘Hi we have your dogs at Beverly Hills jail,'” he said.

Upon his arrival, he found his dogs behind bars, before discovering it was the Beckhams who reported the lost pups. “I was like ‘Oh ok, I didn’t know they were my neighbors. They went to dog jail,” he laughed.

Lance’s dog Dingo passed away on January 20, 2017 at age 13. The singer penned a heartfelt tribute to announce his death, revealing that he stumbled upon Dingo and his siblings in a discarded trash bag. The elderly dog endured two hip surgeries, cancer, and other complications before his death. Foster passed away before Dingo but the exact date is unknown.

One month after Dingo’s death, Bass and Turchin rescued Chip and Dale, who have experienced the life of the rich and famous thanks to their fathers.

The now-six-year-old pooches were invited to The Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s 3rd Annual World Dog Day in 2018 and have even had their photos taken for brand events, including Lance’s partnership with Natural Balance Pet Foods.
