Gary Rossington - Trivia, Family, Bio

Guitarist and a founding member of the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, who also founded The Rossington-Collins Band. The band released 14 albums before his passing. 

Before Fame

He and a few of his school friends formed the band The Noble Five, which later became Lynyrd Skynyrd. 

Trivia

In 2008 he was arrested and charged with a DUI in Georgia. In 2020, a movie about the band titled Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash was released.

Family Life

He named his guitar Berneice in honor of his mother. 

Associated With

Ronnie Van Zant, the co-founder of Lynyrd Skynyrd, was his schoolmate.
